I have a 1983 KZ750-F1 LTD (shaft drive, 4 cyl). There are Mikuni BS34 carbs on it. It has a 4-1 exhaust, and I just ordered 54mm pod filters for it. The current jetting is as follows: Main Jet - 150R. Needle Jet - 430. Jet Needle - 4BC6. Pilot Jet - 37.5.
kz900, 26mm carbs. 4 to 1 v&h street header with insulation taken out. pods. its got 117.5 mains and 17.5 pilot jets in it now. does anybody know what set up i need and also the needle jet setting. thanx in advance. 1976 kz900 Mostly stock. 1978 Z1-R Project. A larger numerical main jet increases the fuel flow from ¾ and beyond. - To change the main jet turn the carb upside down and remove the idle mount screw on the carb bowl and then remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the carb (see picture below). .
